In elk Nada Duo Concert voegt Surya zich - met zang, fluit en klankschalen - bij een gastmuzikant in een intieme ontmoeting van stilte en klank. Beide muzikanten spelen zowel een stuk solo als samen. Via intuïtieve improvisatie worden meditatieve soundscapes gewoven– een reis voorbij genres, waarin muziek een veld wordt van pure energie, bewuste aanwezigheid en diep luisteren.

Gastmuzikant - Sitar

Nicolas heeft zijn leven gewijd aan de kunst van de Indiase sitar. Door de jaren heen heeft hij zich verdiept in traditionele Hindoestaanse muziek en gestudeerd bij verschillende gerenommeerde Indiase meesters, waaronder Anoushka Shankar. Tegenwoordig verkent hij een breed scala aan muziekgenres en werkt hij samen met artiesten als Leki, Jean Bosco Safari en Roland Van Campenhout. Toch keert de ziel van zijn muziek altijd terug naar zijn roots: de meditatieve essentie van klassieke Indiase klanken. Telkens wanneer Nicolas de snaren aanraakt, ontvouwt zich een stille magie en wordt de luisteraar meegevoerd naar subtiele, mystieke sferen.

In each Nada Duo Concert, Surya joins - with voice, flute and singing bowls - a guest musician in an intimate meeting of sound and silence. Both musicians will each play a solo piece and a peace together.
Through intuitive improvisation, meditative soundscapes are being woven — a journey beyond genres, where music becomes a field of pure energy, conscious presence and deep listening.

Guest musician - Sitar

Nicolas has devoted his life to the art of the Indian sitar. Over the years, he has immersed himself in traditional Hindustani music, studying under several renowned Indian masters, among them Anoushka Shankar. Today, he explores a wide range of musical genres, collaborating with artists such as Leki, Jean Bosco Safari, and Roland Van Campenhout. Yet, the soul of his music always returns to its roots — the meditative essence of classical Indian sound. Whenever Nicolas touches the strings, a quiet magic unfolds, and the listener is carried into subtle, mystical realms.
