About
The second module of the Path of Sound is designed to go deeper into the connection to music and sound. The emphasis is on the embodiment and integration of the practice in daily life. You’ll receive plenty of tools to anchor this connection.
The theme of ‘embodiment’ is pointing to both the connection with the body, the integration in daily life and the inner work related to all this. That includes gaining awareness of dreams, desires and core intentions that underlie the daily life experience.
In this module the student dives deeper into the cultivation and musical development of the natural voice. Also singing bowls will be integrated as an additional practice.

What people say...
"With gratitude, I look back on the sound training I followed with Surya. The program is clearly structured and follows a logical progression.
First, attention is given to working on ourselves — overcoming obstacles, developing virtues and skills. These are then placed in service of the greater good of others. The training is approached in a holistic way: we work together with nature and with the whole human being, helping to restore harmony with the healing forces that are already present within each of us.
Because the lessons are given in small groups, there is plenty of space for an individual approach right from the start. This makes the threshold for working with others, or for expressing oneself creatively and openly, very low. The process unfolds in small steps, with great care for creating and maintaining a safe environment.
The greatest source of inspiration is Indian philosophy and the path of yoga as service. That’s why mantra practice is an essential part of the training. The techniques and methods taught integrate well with skills or practices students may already have from previous trainings — whether musical abilities, working with other instruments, or other holistic therapies.
Perhaps the most important pillar of the training is spirituality. Here there are no hollow words or abstract philosophical debates. Both the work with sound is grounded in a deeply felt silence and serene peace. This emphasis, and the constant search for authentic presence, makes the program — though full and rich — deeply digestible and rewarding.
For anyone fascinated by sound and wishing to explore this medium in order to dive into the great questions of who we are, why we are here, and how we can help one another, this training will surely provide the tools and guidance you need."
